Prices change, so always check today's figures on our cashew price guide, which reads them live from the shop. This post explains how to read those numbers and choose a pack.

Our prices by pack size

Here is how the range looks in October 2026. Cooking Cashew is Rs 2,299 for 250g, Rs 3,999 for 500g and Rs 7,299 for 1kg. Oven Roasted Cashew is Rs 2,299, Rs 4,099 and Rs 7,699. Classic Roasted Salt & Pepper, Garlic and Deviled cashews are each Rs 2,399, Rs 4,199 and Rs 7,799. Burnt Cashew Nut is Rs 2,399, Rs 4,299 and Rs 7,799. Cashew Powder is Rs 1,399, Rs 2,199 and Rs 3,699.

All of the cashews in these packs, apart from the powder, are 100% Sri Lankan whole nuts from Puttalam, roasted and packed to order.

How much cheaper is the bigger pack?

A bigger pack always costs less per kilo. Take Cooking Cashew: two 250g packs cost Rs 4,598, but one 500g pack costs Rs 3,999, a saving of Rs 599, or about 13 percent. Four 250g packs would cost Rs 9,196, while a single 1kg pack costs Rs 7,299, which saves Rs 1,897, or about 21 percent.

The same pattern holds for the flavours. For Salt & Pepper, two 250g packs cost Rs 4,798 against Rs 4,199 for 500g, and four 250g packs cost Rs 9,596 against Rs 7,799 for 1kg. Packing and handling are spread over more cashews, so each gram costs less.

What delivery adds to each pack

Delivery is charged by the weight of the parcel, which is your cashews plus about 50 grams of packaging. A single 250g pack weighs about 300g in the parcel and costs Rs 250 to deliver. A 500g pack weighs about 550g and costs Rs 350. A 1kg pack weighs about 1.05kg and costs Rs 400. Collecting from our Kalutara pickup point is free.

That changes how the packs compare. Delivered, a 250g Cooking Cashew costs Rs 2,549 (Rs 2,299 plus Rs 250), which is about Rs 10,196 per kilo. A 500g pack costs Rs 4,349 delivered, or about Rs 8,698 per kilo, and a 1kg pack costs Rs 7,699 delivered. Once delivery is counted, the gap between small and large packs gets even wider.

Which pack should you choose?

Choose 250g if you are trying a flavour for the first time, or buying a small gift. It is about nine handfuls, as we explain in how many cashews to eat a day, which is a little over a week for one person.

Choose 500g if you snack regularly or cook with cashews every week. It is the point where the saving becomes clear without needing much storage space. Choose 1kg if you cook often, share with a family, or want the lowest price per kilo, and keep what you are not eating sealed, as we describe in how to store roasted cashews.

Whole nuts, pieces and powder: why the price differs

Price per kilo depends heavily on whether you are buying whole nuts, pieces or ground cashews. Whole kernels cost more because fewer come out of processing unbroken, which we explain in cashew grades and what cashew pieces are used for. Our powder costs roughly half as much per kilo because it is ground, and it is made for blending into curries, smoothies and sweets, not for snacking.

If you are comparing our prices with another seller's, check that you are comparing like with like: whole or broken, raw or roasted, plain or flavoured, and fresh or from old stock.

Roasted to order is part of the price

We roast in small batches when you order, instead of keeping shelf stock, so the cashews reach you fresh. That is one reason a pack costs more than a bag of cashews that has been sitting in a warehouse. Our post on why cashews are dried and stored so carefully explains what happens to a cashew between harvest and the pack, and how freshness affects the taste.

How to order

Choose your pack size on the product page, add it to your cart and pick delivery or pickup. You can pay by bank transfer, by cash on delivery for orders up to Rs 10,000, or in cash on pickup at any amount.
